Avas Flowers Makes A Charitable Donation to Hope For The Hopeless

Nov. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Avas Flowers is a proud supporter of Hope 4 the Hopeless. Volunteers for this organization rescue Ethiopian orphans and teach them the necessary skills to be successful upon reaching adulthood.

On September 23, 2011, Hope 4 the Hopeless held their first annual dinner-dance fundraiser. One hundred percent of the proceeds went directly to the cause and to their school.

As proud supporter of their cause, Avas Flowers has donated a 150-200 stems of beautiful red and white carnations, as well as greenery in order to make boutonnieres to honor the wonderful sponsors of the program.

Avas Flowers has been a family owned and operated shop since 1977 which takes pride in providing top of the line service and floral arrangements to their customers. Avas Flowers only selects premium growers to raise our plants and flowers.

Only the finest flowers are selected to be used in arrangements to provide a design that meets the perfection that is aim for. The partnership with Hope 4 the Hopeless came about when a volunteer for the organization contacted flower companies that service the local area.

Access to wholesale flowers has allowed Avas Flowers to provide the donation of beautiful fresh cut carnations and greenery to the event. The flowers were used to decorate the event.

Hope 4 the hopeless provides a home for the children while they are attaining their new skills. To advance the children’s learning process, the organization is working hard to improve their state-of-the-art boarding school.

The organization takes children off of the street and attempts to find a family member of the child, whether it be a parent or an extended family member. This allows the child to be able to grow up with their own family.

If under the unfortunate circumstances the Hope 4 the Hopeless is unable to reach out to the family, the child is brought to live in the beautiful, countryside, 7-acre boarding school where the child is taken care of and educated.

Their goal is to help their children feel safe and secure, learn to trust again, learn the truth of Jesus Christ, receive food and clothing, an education, and basic medical care.

The dinner-fundraiser was an event with a silent auction, raffles, and guests had gotten the opportunity to enjoy authentic Ethiopian music and cuisine.
