Antellus Changes Payment Processors

Antellus has changed shopping carts from PayPal to Google Checkout, after complaints about PayPal's changes in policy caused concern about the freedom of access to money in customers' accounts and holds put on the accounts to delay access.

"We had been monitoring the situation for almost a year," Antellus owner and CEO Theresa M. Moore said. "I kept reading nothing but complaints originating from activity apparently designed to restrict vendors' access to customer payments for sales, which was rather capriciously done without warning and without recourse to the vendor. eBay vendor accounts were also closed and money refunded to customers without the item being returned, making it a lose-lose situation. Since I do not deal with eBay at all and must have the cash flow to purchase and ship my products, as well as issue refunds; I decided that the safer option was to go with Google Checkout, which pays directly into my bank account."

The GC buttons have been installed on the site and are currently in operation. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the buttons will remain through the holiday shopping season as a test of the shopping cart's effectiveness.

As a matter of clarification all books from the Antellus catalog have been reinstalled on Amazon.com but there is no plan to advertise that beyond this notice.
