| Leaving dead trees on your property could be dangerous to your family and petsHouston tree specialist warns that allowing dead and dying trees to remain standing on your property could prove to be a mistake
Cities and municipalities throughout the state are working feverishly to remove them but many homeowners have dead trees on their properties and are reluctant to do anything about them. Houston tree service expert and owner of Ability Tree Experts, (http://www.abilitytrees.com) “These trees are dead or dying and have absolutely no chance of surviving so there is really no reason to leave them standing,” Louis said this week. “That is a dangerous thing to do. If your trees are dead or dying and you think they may not survive, call a tree professional to take a look and advise you on what to do,” he said. Ability Tree Experts has been helping homeowners in the Houston, Kingwood, Humble, Sugar Land, The Woodlands and other nearby cities with their trees for decades and Louis Flory said all resident have to do is call his team at 281-441-4179 and the problem is solved. “In the next few months, many of these trees will come down. Unfortunately, some of them will fall on properties or even on family and pets. It is easy to prevent that occurrence. It is better for homeowners to take care of them before they come down and damage their homes or even hurt family members.” Other area tree professionals agree. Brazoria County tree expert, Jeff Elsing said this week that “the potential exists for some of these dead trees to come down on their own if there is a winter storm and you have other trees that are still alive now that might not make it through the winter.” “People should be aware of the risks if they think they have a dead tree that is big enough to come down where they don’t want it coming down,” Elsing said. Louis Flory of Ability Tree Experts advised homeowners not to attempt to cut down the trees themselves. “Many homeowners may try to bring the trees down themselves because they think it is cheaper that way but trying to save the $250 to $3000 a tree professional or arborist may charge to remove the trees may end up costing you a lot more if it comes down on your home or car, for example.” He said Ability Tree Experts (http://www.abilitytrees.com) is available to help homeowners whenever they call. “We are here to help and we will gladly answer any questions homeowners may have,” he added.
