Forum for SWEEP Project of international NGO ASSIST gathers Philippine software industry executives

Nov. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Top executives of software industry converged for the CEO Forum of the Software Industy Excellence and Enhancement Program (SWEEP) Initiative led by the international NGO Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation at Marriott Hotel in Pasay City last October 24, 2011.

The Forum served as an information-sharing session with the top management/ decision makers of Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA) member-companies and a primer to select potential organizations that can be part of the program.

PSIA President Mr. Noya Terrado, President-PSIA welcomed the participants and provided the goals and industry plan for the next year. Meanwhile, ASSIST Representative Karthik Subburaman provided a brief introduction on the project.

Initiated by ASSIST in partnership with PSIA and TUV Rheinland Philippines, the project aims to (1) help the IT companies become robust by adopting international standards; (2) enhance the competency and skills of IT professionals through education and training program; and (3) facilitate sharing of Best Practices between companies and professionals through Knowledge Exchange Forum.

Among the participants were top executives of HP, SQL*Wizard, Inc., Solution Resources, Xybersolutions, IT Group, Inc., CPL Philippines, Inc., Jupiter Systems, Inc., DB Soft Philippines, Inc., EXIST, Yekyio Technologies.
