Nov. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Strategies to nurture a toddler's independence and develop healthy eating, toileting, and sleep patterns are key issues on which every toddler parent is seeking guidance and mastery.  Learning to be prepared in advance of each stage is critical and necessary for a healthy transition to a toddler eating, toileting, and sleeping successfully. The dilemma is that just as the adult begins to understand how to communicate with the young child, the child is on to the next request and need.

Rita Brenner, a noted Montessori educator and parent education specialist, presented strategies and directions that are proven and effective ways for parents to observe their child's requests and to use appropriate language that gives the child freedom within limits.  Knowing what to say, anticipating the next developmental milestone, and sharing this important childhood stage with each other were the highlights of this lecture on Wednesday, November 16 at 8:30 AM hosted by the Princeton Montessori School at 487 Cherry Valley Road in Princeton, NJ.

You are welcome to contact the school if you are interesting in future parenting discussions related to the toddler age child.
