Christmas Cards for Zombies – Fetid Festive Greetings
The plight of zombies, who have for many years not had appropriate festive greetings card options, has been recognised by Fancy Dress Outfitters. To remedy this injustice, they have published the first in a series of zombie themed Christmas cards.
The Christmas period is not one usually associated with zombies and they can go largely ignored until Halloween each year. The card has been designed to promote awareness of zombies at what can be a very lonely time of year for them, particularly because as a group, they are considered to be highly dangerous to humans.
The card will also give zombies the ability to send one another festive greetings themed more closely to their likes and interests, as traditional cards tend to not to focus on brains and the consumption of brains.
Zombie communities tend to be closely packed in the event of a zombie apocalypse but they have trouble keeping in touch with friends or colleagues if a rampage is not imminent. The card helps zombies spread festive cheer amongst members of the horde, who they may not have seen for a while.
To help cement awareness of zombies outside of the traditional confines of Halloween, people are being urged to consider zombie fancy dress as a genuine alternative to the more traditional Christmas costumes ( http://www.fancydressoutfitters.co.uk/
A huge range of different zombie costumes are available, testament to the steady ground swell of support that is slowly being gathered for the undead community worldwide, and it presents party goers with lots of choice if they decide to lend their support by dressing as a member of the recently deceased this Christmas.
The variety of outfits extends from the traditional zombie costumes many of us will recognise, tattered, rotting clothing and skull like appearance, to more specific, themed costumes based on more everyday people and professions.
Zombie convicts, doctors, office workers, teachers and even dinner ladies are available with a range of different make-up and accessories to bring your zombie alter ego to ‘life’. If you prefer something with more of a historical edge, you can choose from zombie pirates, templar knights or cowboys.
The zombie look is easily achieved without the need to purchase a costume if you are a fan of making your outfit. Zombies were people once and as such come from all walks of life, making them easy to imitate.
Take some of your regular clothes that you are happy to cut-up, and add jagged edges to them, along with a few well placed rips. Next, splatter with fake blood, or something that will leave a red stain, to achieve that ‘just mauled a human victim look’.
Now all you need to do is assume a vacant and distracted countenance, coupled with a few well judged moans and groans and a shambling, shuffling gait. Speeding up suddenly near human party guests will also create a pleasing ‘surprised’
