Ubisense signs VAR agreement with ASTEC

Nov. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- Cambridge, UK – Ubisense, the leading provider of precise, real-time location (RTLS) technology has signed a VAR (Value Added Reseller) agreement with ASTEC. The close cooperation with the successful Polish IT-company shall ensure further growth in Eastern Europe both in the geospatial and RTLS markets.

ASTEC aims to be the leader in Poland and Eastern Europe providing innovative RTLS solutions for manufacturing and research. As a first result of the VAR agreement Ubisense RTLS was applied in the construction of mobile robots at Poznan University of Technology in order to improve important features of manipulators, wheeled and walking robots using trajectory planning or force control. ASTEC has recently started a pilot implementation for using RTLS in behaviour analysis.
