Halloween Yappy Hour Supports Second Chance SPCA Oct 26th

Oct. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- Pete and Mac’s Recreational Resort for Pets, Plano, TX is holding a Yappy Hour to support Second Chance SPCA on Wednesday Oct 26th from 4 – 7pm. $5 donation at the door. Raffle tickets on sale now. Join us for the spooky fun, bring your dog, bring your friends, broomsticks optional.

Stephanie, with Second Chance tells us,” Second Chance SPCA is a no-kill animal shelter for dogs and cats located in Plano, TX. Our mission is to rescue animals in danger of being euthanized from city shelters and to care for them until they are adopted by loving families. We have recently celebrated our 1800th adoption after opening out small two-room shelter only 5 ½ years ago. Saving so many loved has been extremely fulfilling and we must continue to grow in our mission for the adoptable animals yet to be saved from overburdened city shelters in the North Texas area.”

Please join us at Pete and Mac’s Recreational Resort for Pets in Plano, on Wednesday Oct 26th,  from 4 – 7pm, for some spooky snacks, a drink, and a Chance to win some great prizes. Canine attendees will enjoy special pet friendly treats and canine companionship. A $5 donation at the door gets you and your dog into the party. Raffle tickets are available now; you don’t have to be present to win. All donations at the door and for raffle tickets go to Second Chance SPCA. Your very small donation can, and will, save pets’ lives. And socialization is good for your dog, and for you.
Stephanie continued, “Second Chance SPCA is a volunteer based organization and offers a wide variety of ways for people to help. Our shelter is open 7 days a week for adoptions. We also participate in offsite adoption events in our community.

Second Chance SPCA animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for heartworms or feline leukemia, and stay in our program until adopted. We also treat illnesses and injuries that many other shelters would euthanize for. Most important of all, our animals receive daily attention from people who care. While our shelter is not their permanent home, it is a place where they can be safe and loved until they do find their forever home.”
