Oct. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- The challenge, which takes place on Saturday 12th November, in the grounds of Hodsock Priory located on the North Notts/South Yorkshire border, will see the picturesque estate, famous for its annual snowdrop spectacular each February, awash with competitors as teams test their powers of observation, solve puzzles and find clues on a scavenger hunt.

“Remembrance weekend was the perfect time for us to host an event to support this tremendously worthwhile charity which many hold close to their hearts,” commented Lindsay Jones conference and events manager Hodsock Priory. “It’s a superb opportunity to raise money whilst at the same time exploring the beauty of Hodsock  as you take up ‘The Hodsock Challenge’.”

The event is open to everyone and teams can enter by either registering on line or you can just turn up on the day! It costs just £10 to enter a team which should have a maximum of six members. The winning team will receive a delicious chocolate gift courtesy of ‘The Chocolate Kitchen’ in Retford and many other local businesses are also donating superb prizes.

During the day refreshments will be available in the Priory and Mr Ford’s Potting Shed located in Horse Pasture Wood, as teams battle to be crowned champions of ‘The Hodsock Challenge’!

“We are looking forward to welcoming families and friends to Hodsock for this inaugural Help for Heroes charity event,” said Lindsay. “It will certainly be a very enjoyable way for members of the public to recognise Remembrance weekend.”

Help for Heroes was launched on 1st October 2007 and has already raised in excess of £1 million. Further details on every aspect of the charity can be found a www.helpforheroes.org.uk.
