Tameside Hospital and Synergy Health Extend Partnership With Sterile Services Contract

Oct. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- The lifetime contract, worth approximately £5m, is a continuation of the long standing relationship between the two organizations. Synergy Health delivers a range of specialist outsourced services to healthcare providers across Europe and China. These services are aimed at supporting customers to improve the quality and efficiency of their activities, while reducing risks to patients and clients. This continued collaboration will allow the Trust to benefit from enhanced productivity.

The Trust runs Tameside Hospital in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Synergy Health has been running the Trust’s sterile service processing facilities for over ten years.

The contract was awarded following a competitive tender process, with the organisation offering a number of innovative solutions. Synergy Health CEO UK and Ireland, Adrian Coward said: “Synergy Health was chosen over rival competitors due to the Trust being impressed by our plans for future growth, as well as having confidence in our ability to provide an excellent, cost efficient service with a workforce delivering outstanding results.” The extension of the partnership means there will be no disruption to the running of the hospital or sterile services. The service provided by the contract extension will use the latest technologies and procedures, providing cost-effective solutions to the Trust at a time when it is under great pressure to make savings.
