Halifax Excel Workshop at MBC

Oct. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- As part of its continuing education series, the Maritime Business College will offer a series of Halifax Excel workshops in November 2011. The classes will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-9 p.m. and will be located at MBC’s Dartmouth campus on Ochterloney Street.

The Halifax Excel workshops can be taken as one collective course or as three independent workshops: Excel Basics, Excel Formulas and Excel Charts.

The Excel Basics workshop will teach participants how to use Excel to identify the Excel 2007 environment, set defaults, navigate the worksheet, spell check, undo and redo commands, vary alignments, wrap text and create simple formulas. The workshop will take place on November 8 and 10.

Excel Formulas, which will take place on November 15 and 17, teaches concepts such as building formulas using absolute, mixed and relative references.

Excel Charts, the third and final workshop, will take place November 22 and 14. Participants will learn how to create and format non-adjacent and adjacent charts and learn how to ensure that the charts they create are noteworthy and effective.

To attend all three workshops, the cost is $375, or for only one the cost is $140.
