Oct. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Q1: How to install the R4i SDHC card
A1: Please refer to the step-by-step setup guide here( http://www.r4i-sdhc-dsi.co.uk/pages/R4i-SDHC-Installation-Guide-c-10.html ) to install your R4i SDHC card

Q2: Where to download the latest driver of R4i SDHC card?
A2: Please download the latest driver of R4i SDHC card from here to download the R4i SDHC firmware or from the official website (www.r4i-sdhc.com).

Q3: If the screen displays "Please upgrade the hardware for support the latest firmware", how should i do?
A3: When you have this kind of the flash card which is marked with V1.42 or V1.41 or 3DS upgraded successfully for NDSi 1.4.3, but still using with old kernel v1.41b/1.42b, an error message will be showed as below, please download and update the latest kernel to use.

Q4: These error messages appears when you play a game, what can i do ?
   load errcode=-1
   load errcode=-8
   disk errcode=-83
   reset the game,show message"No card"
A4: Please download the latest driver of R4i SDHC card from here to download the R4i SDHC firmware or from the official website (www.r4i-sdhc.com)

Q5: Why do I get the error message "Loading…Fake card! Please return to retailer" with the website (www.r4i-sdhc.com)and How to fix it?
A5: If your DS is showing this error message, it is due to kernel/driver problem. Once the correct kernel/driver was copied onto the microSD, the issue will be resolved immediately. For R4i SDHC, the driver and the complete setup guide are available from here.

Q6: Why do I get the error message "Loading… System date error! Please check NDS system date." How to fix it
A6: It might be caused by any one of the following:
The DS console is running out of battery.
Transferring a .SAV file from a different console who perhaps has a different date on their DS.
Attempting to activate cheats in certain applications.
The above problem can solved quite quickly with a little trick by changing the system date of the DS console to an earlier date: such as that in the 2009.

Q7: Why do I get the error message Menu ? How do I fix it?
A7: If your DS is showing this error message, it means that the kernel/driver is missing on the microSD memory card inserted in the flashcart. Once the correct kernel/driver is copied onto the microSD, the issue will be resolved immediately. For R4i SDHC, the driver and the complete setup guide are available from here (http://www.r4i-sdhc-dsi.co.uk/pages/R4i-SDHC-Installation...).

Q8: Why does the console freeze when I click the homebrew game icon? What should I do?
A8: Please restart your console. Generally, when you successfully setup the card, you will see the screen with the file "MOONSHL2.NDS" and your own data, such as homebrew games. Please just click the homebrew games' name here to enjoy it. The reason why you could not start the homebrew game is that you click the homebrew game inside the "MOONSHL2.NDS" where you can do the system setting, such as changing the skin and language but not for homebrew games.

Q9: Why do I get the message There is no card inserted in the DS Game Card Slot even though I do insert the r4i SDHC card in it?
A9: There is many reasons for this message, which can range from dirt / dust on the micro-SD card, corrupt micro-SD data, a faulty r4i SDHC card / micro-SD connector, or the more serious and worrying misalignment of the DS slot 1 connectors.

The dirt/dust problem on the micro-SD card can be easily solved by giving the micro-SD a good blow or two.

A corrupt micro-SD card’s data can be easily fixed by reformatting it to FAT16 or FAT32.

Very rarely, a DS adapter can work on one DS but fail to work on another and the failed adapter will display this message. In this rare circumstance, a tiny imperfection in the DS and the DS card may sometimes be great enough that they just about misalign and are unable to communicate with each other. Basically, the metal contacts don’t touch each other well enough. This only happens in less than 1% of cases, though, and it tends to be with old DS’s or well-used DS Lites.

However,if the DS fails with every DS card, then there is a definite problem with the SLOT 1 connector of the DS. If the DS is still under warranty, it should be exchanged immediately for a new one. If your DS is out of warranty, it is also possible to realign the connector pins in the SLOT 1 of the DS yourself(WARNING: Doing this yourself will void the warranty). You would need to very carefully peer into the slot where cartridges normally go, and use some thin, fine tools to re-align any bent pins in the SLOT 1 connector.

A faulty R4i SDHC card and micro-SD should be exchanged with the retailer only e-mail them after the first four options don't appear to have worked, though, because about 99% of the time one of those will fix it.

Q10: For my DS Lite, I get the message "There is no DS card inserted" on the top line and "There is no game pak inserted" on the bottom line". But I do insert the r4i SDHC card in it. What's wrong?
A10:In this case, the "There is no game pak inserted" is a pretty standard message as it relates to the slot 2 of the DS which is empty - DS cards/adapters do not use that slot these days.

However, the "There is no DS card inserted" message is worrying. There is many reasons for this message, which can range from dirt / dust on the micro-SD card, corrupt micro-SD data, a faulty r4i SDHCard / micro-SD connector, or the more serious and worrying misalignment of the DS slot 1 connectors.
