Oct. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Jacksonville, FL – Coggin Nissan on Atlantic in Jacksonville is pleased to announce the appointment of Melvin Burkett as the dealership’s new general manager.

Burkett comes to Coggin Nissan on Atlantic with 24 years of experience in the automotive industry, five of which have been with Asbury Automotive Group, Inc., Coggin’s parent company. He replaces Robert Ogust, who is now general manager at the Asbury stores in Princeton, NJ.

“My goal is to have the store with the most outstanding customer satisfaction in Asbury, as well as in the city of Jacksonville,” said Burkett. “I am confident that I can work to make Coggin Nissan on Atlantic the most admired dealership in the area.

A keen family man, Burkett is devoted to his wife of 12 years and his two children. In his free time, Burkett enjoys helping coach his son’s football team and traveling the United States with his family. The Burkett family has a goal of visiting all 50 states together; so far, they’ve visited 14.
