Oct. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Most people consider the Apple iPhone as the benchmark for todays mobile phones. With the launching of the new iPhone 4S, Apple received mixed reviews from its biggest critics. While some were disappointed because its design is exactly similar to its predecessors design, others were completely satisfied with its impressive features and great improvements. Here is a look at how the new iPhone 4S stacks up against the iPhone 3G s and the iPhone 4.
Design and screen

The iPhone 4 was the first Apple smartphone that features a retina display, which delivers extremely sharp texts and graphics. It also displays colors well, so both videos and photos look awesome when viewed on its high-resolution touch screen. The new iPhone 4S has the exact same screen, which disappointed iPhone fans who were expecting a larger screen. High-quality screen display comes at a price so you should consider getting an iPhone 3GS if glorious, high-definition graphics are not really your priority.

Outwardly, 4S features the same build quality and design of the previous iPhone 4. They both have black glass panels and a flat front. The iPhone 4 also received complaints from users who found that they lose signal while holding the phone but it seems that 4S has completely solved this problem.  Both phones also come with a super slim design so you can easily slide them into your pocket. They are also available in shades of black and white.

The iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4, and iPhone 4S are all capable of varying levels of performance. While the iPhone 3Gs seems like a pleasing upgrade from the 3G, the inclusion of the i4 chip on the iPhone 4 brings speedy performance and impressive graphics for running 3D games and applications. However, iPhone 4S seems superior kslu because it comes with a dual-core A5 chip that allows it to perform seven times faster than its predecessors do. Those who wish to upgrade to 4S will not be disappointed with its ability to run demanding 3D games in a smooth manner.

The new iPhone 4S also claims to support download speeds of up to 14.4 MB per second, which is of course a decent improvement from the measly 10 Mbps that the older iPhone 4 offers. With this efficient smartphone, browsing the Internet and downloading multimedia files will be much quicker. Its dual-core processor also leaves more room for multi-tasking, thus allowing you to open and manage several applications at a time. Of course, the performance of the iPhone 4S will still depend on the network you wish to use.

Camera and voice control

Another big upgrade on the new 4S is its 8-megapixel camera and CMOS sensor. Aside from delivering high-quality images and videos, the Apple iPhone 4S is also expected to perform better in poor lighting conditions. It can also shoot 1080p videos. While voice control was also present on previous iPhones, the iPhone 4S features a more sophisticated and usable software program for voice commands. Siri, its new voice control software, allows you to read text messages, set reminders, and handle other tasks without lifting a finger.

As you can see, the Apple iPhone 4S seems to be a decent upgrade to the older iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 models. It will surely keep you satisfied with its feature-rich platform, powerful processor, and improved 8-megapixel camera.
