Follow on Google News | Low Impedance and Remote Control Now Available in a DB9 ABCD Network SwitchThe Model 7385 DB-9 A/B/C/D network switch is designed to minimize impedance. The resistance between the COMMON port pins and the current position pins is less than 0.8 ohms. This switch is controlled remotely via ASCII commands.
There is no local or front-panel switch control on this switch. The Model 7385 can only be switched remotely from the DB9 female RS232 serial interface remote port. This port accepts RS232 Serial data ASCII commands for switch position control and monitoring. The front-panel LED display indicates the switch position and unit power status. Four LED’s labeled A, B, C and D display the switch position. One LED labeled Power displays the power status. The switch maintains its last set switch position in the event of a power loss and continues to pass data. For applications where low impedance is important this switch is ideal. The resistance between the COMMON port pins and the corresponding current position pins is less than 0.8 ohms. The switch ports are transparent to data format. All 9 pins of the DB9 interface are switched making this switch applicable to any DB9 device. The switch comes complete with a UL approved wall mount 110/120VAC, 60Hz power module that supplies 12VAC, 500 mA to the switch.
