| Blue Mustang PR Latest in Yearbook Reprint LineIndependent publisher Blue Mustang PR the latest in its series of Munich American High School yearbooks for the alumni of the Germany-based school and to aid in the preservation of their history.
By: Blue Mustang Press To many, nothing provides a more vivid opportunity to relive ones school days than the venerable yearbook. Yet, despite their availability when first released, yearbooks are one of the most easily lost items...and as a result, one of the most sought after. Class rings are often worn or kept in a jewelry box; letter jackets are kept in closets with clothes that are moved from place to place. Keeping track of them is easy. But yearbooks often end up in moving boxes with other books, in attics, or in the basement. Often lost or discarded. Too often, yearbooks are irreplaceable. Yearbook printing companies seldom, if ever, have copies of old yearbooks. Short of finding one online, replacing a lost yearbook is a difficult task. Blue Mustang Press has developed the YesterYearbook: Blue Mustang Press’s efforts began as a preservation project for a military dependent school in Munich, Germany. The former students of this school, the first American school opened in Germany after World War II, span the globe and the decades and much of the history of the school had been lost since the school was shuttered in the early 1990s. In an attempt to preserve as much of the school’s past as possible, the reprinting of the yearbooks began. Currently, the volumes include 1957/1958/1959, 1964, 1976, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, and 1986.
