Price Toyota Announces the Arrival of the Refreshed 2012 Toyota Tacoma in New Castle

Sept. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Price Toyota is excited to announce the arrival of the 2012 Toyota Tacoma at its New Castle, Delaware, Toyota dealership.  The best-selling compact pickup in America has received a refresh for the 2012 model year, offering a redesigned exterior and upgraded interior.

On the surface, the 2012 Tacoma features a new hood, grille, front bumper, and headlamps, making the front fascia more angular. The grille features a more triangular appearance than its predecessor and the headlights are edgier. The front bumper also bulges more than the bumper of the previous model, giving the pickup a larger appearance.

Inside the new Tacoma, the instrument gauge has been updated to feature a sportier look.  Adding to the updated appearance, the center console flows into the instrument panel and contains three cupholders, three of which accommodate extra-large containers.  The 2012 model provides a quieter ride, thanks to insulating carpet and sound absorption materials in the headliner and behind the rear seats.  The high quality materials that make up the interior and the abundance of standard features increase the pickup’s upscale feel.

Although the Tacoma features an improved appearance, performance has not been sacrificed. The pickup offers two engine choices, a 2.7-liter Dual Overhead Cam four-cylinder and a 4.0-liter Dual Overhead Cam V6. These engines are both equipped with variable valve timing with intelligence, which provides strong low-end and mid-range torque.  The maximum tow capacity among the Tacoma trim levels and offered packages is 6,500 pounds, achieved on the Access Cab with a V6 Tow Package.
