Sept. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Nose to Tail Pet Miniatures is having an online Halloween Pet Costume Contest on their facebook page. . Entrants who post a picture of their pet wearing a Halloween costume at will have a chance to win a miniature custom replica of their pet in the photo, in time to display on Halloween!  All photos must be posted by October 17, 2011 to be entered in the contest.

The person behind Nose to Tail is Karen Nordstrom of Kingston, Washington. She makes one-of-a kind, custom felted miniatures of pets and other animals using baby alpaca wool, merino wool and angora.

She sells her designs – from a trio of pugs with New Year’s party hats to a Westie dressed like a pumpkin - via her Etsy page called "Nose to Tail." All you have to do is send her a photo of your animal friend and she will create a mini version.

Karen says she’s only been felting for about a year-and-a-half and she found it to be addicting.

“I had all these little animals piling up in my house and just decided to put a golden retriever on Etsy,” she said. “The woman who bought it was so happy because it reminded her of her dog that had died.”

Karen says it takes several hours to make one of her creations.. Custom orders are welcome. For more information about Nose to Tail and to see examples of their miniature "anipals", visit
