Follow on Google News | Pollbob To Save USA In 2012We are on a quest to put this country back on track. Our goal will save the country millions, if not billions if our calculations are correct. Our mission is simple, convince Obama to use PollBob to administer the 2012 election.
By: Pollbob Inc. SMALL NEW ORLEANS COMPANY OFFERS PRESIDENT WAY TO DELIVER ON HOPE AND CHANGE Septemeber 21, 2011 - New Orleans, LA -- Today, the White House opened its doors to representatives from PollBob Inc. to hear their proposal for reducing the cost of the 2012 election. PollBob believes moving to a secure mobile and web based ballot is a way to immediately address the federal deficit, deliver on the President’s campaign promise of hope and change, and potentially secure the tea party’s support for President Obama’s reelection or at least confuse the bejesus out of members of the tea party. If you have not already heard, PollBob is a new mobile app and website that is revolutionizing the way people share and register opinions. They are making it easier than ever before for people to poll, vote, and see results in real time and on-the-go. According to a Pollbob spokesperson, "The general population is not aware, but the US spends approximately $50 billion administering the presidential election every 4 years. Every man, woman, and child should be looking for ways to lend a hand in the federal government’s effort to reduce costs. Slashing the cost of administering the election process is one of the ways we’re doing our part. We also require our employees to sign a pledge not to drink from public water fountains or use public restrooms. Bottom line, we’re offering a balloting solution that can save the country a lot of money. A cost reduction of this size could also build momentum for modernizing other inefficient government services that are driving us deeper into debt," said a Pollbob spokesman. "We ran some numbers with the help of summer interns from the US House Budget committee, both republican and democrat, and think we have found a way to administer the election for a tenth of the price. This would save tax payers a projected $22,000,019.35 per election, which as you probably know would certainly go an extremely long way in closing the $2 trillion budget gap," he went on to say. Preliminary discussions between the White House and leadership in Congress, have already resulted in some of the details of administering the ballot innovation being hammered out. Basically, each registered voter would get a special 24 character, alpha numeric login key that they will enter into the PollBob app or website. From there, they will be prompted to vote for president as well as other candidates for state and local offices and any other ballot initiatives. PollBob estimates that the entire process will take an estimated 2.3 minutes per voter. The best part is that voters would not even have to leave their house or place of work. Nearly 1.9 million Americans reported that they did not vote in the ‘08 election because they didn’t know the location of their polling place. The implications of this are clearly game changing. If you consider that the average time it takes a voter to drive to their local polling place, wait in line, and then vote is an hour, you get an idea of the potential improvements to voting efficiency this could provide. It means that the country as a whole is losing approximately $2 billion in GDP each election cycle due to losses in productivity from employees spending time away from work. In addition, it would also do wonders for the environment since the EPA estimated a total of 100,000 pounds of pollution emitted into the atmosphere could be saved from people not having to drive to their local voting station. This news has already created quite a stir in cities and towns around the country. Forward- "It is this type of forward thinking that the US needs to get back on track." said one impassioned man who was interviewed. "We have all this technology, so we might as well use it. I hear China is going to be letting their people actually vote this year. Before you know it we may be losing ground to them in democratic efficiency. Our standing in the world depends on our ability to continually improve our democratic process. This is an opportunity that we cannot afford to let pass by.” More information about Pollbob and the campaign can be found at Pollbobsavesusa.org or by emailing adam@pollbob.com # # # PollBob is a website and iPhone app that allows users to poll friends and others in real time and on-the-go.
