Custom Designed Hopper System Cuts Pharma Project Cost by $500,000
REMCON Plastics develops a custom designed hopper cradle assembly with the precision to work in an automated guided vehicle storage system
A well-known drug company handled controlled narcotic tablets in a tightly protected environment. They considered installing a self contained and fully automated transfer system between the coating process and final packaging stages of their operation.

The REMCON team developed a custom designed, bottom discharge hopper cradle system that incorporates special flanged openings (inlet and outlet) for positive docking and interfacing with Buck valves. Plus the precision of final product enabled the automated guided vehicles to place the containers into the storage system with the same accuracy as the much more costly stainless steel ones originally proposed.
With the more than $500,000 reduction in project cost, the customer was able to justify moving forward on the project.
