Sept. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Last month’s earthquake, which registered on the Virginia Richter Scale at 5.9, has been confirmed to have caused extensive damage to the estate of the now renowned author and children book writer, Gary Beers.  Like many others affected by the earthquake and subsequent hurricane and malicious storms across New York, reportedly, along the North Eastern Sea border, it goes to show one of how indiscriminate Mother Nature can be.  Beers was not home at the time of the earthquake, but his wife and children were.  ‘They were visibly upset, but, Beers had not a clue of the earthquake occurring, as he was seven miles away.  A local and well-known contractor estimated the damage to be nearly $250,000.00 of the $5.5 million dollar estate.  No one at the time of the earthquake was hurt in the home, except to say of Beers’ wife, Anja, of her feeling a powerful thumb and tremble and a hardened drop of force on the property’s structures.  The damage is so extensive that the contractor made two surveys of the property prior completing his report of the massive damage.  The contractor did not say if the Beers family needed to leave the home to a hotel until the work has been completed.  An estimated timeframe of the amount of time needed to undertake and complete the work on the estate has not been determined by the contractor.
