A total mud cleaning system for drilling rig generally including drilling mud recycling system and drilling mud mixing system .

1.1 The Mud Recycling System Component

Two sets of liner motion shale shaker AJS604L with frame pyramid screen , 1 set desander with 2×12″ cyclone with a AJS604 shaker , 1 set of desilter with 12×5″ desilter cone and a AJS604L shaker , 1 set LXJ450*1000N decanter centrifuge for better performance and 1 recycling mud tank .

1.2 Drilling mud mixing system for mix and weight drilling mud

After drilling mud recycling from the first recycling tank, the cleaned mud will goes to the second part for mixing and feeding drilling rig.

A mud mixing system always contains one or two mud hoppers with mixing pumps, mud agitators and mixing mud tank.

2.   Goal of Solids Control

Drilling fluid and equipment maintenance cost can decrease greatly when proper solids control practices are utilized.

From a fluid control stand point it would be desirable in most cases to remove all drilled solids.

Although this is possible, it would be cost prohibitive.

The goal of a solids control system is to achieve the balance between mechanical solids separation and dilution that will result in drill solids being maintained at an acceptable level with a minimum of cost.
