Sept. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Designer Alexander Wang is known for his edgy, effortless chic, or what he calls, "model off duty’’ style is  a combination of street style and classic luxury.


Born in California to Chinese-American parents, Alexander Wang moved to New York at the age of 18 to attend the legendary Parsons Design School and it was here that he learned his craft. Wang had launched his first eponymous knitwear-based collection before he had even left, with a full line following in 2007 and selling his pieces to over 200 stores.


In 2008 Alex received a the Vogue Fashion Fund.2009 he was the winner of the Swarovski Womemswear Designer of the year. 2009 he has received the Swiss Textiles Award.


2010 he celebrated another Swarovski Award this time for the best Accessory He has continued to make a name for himself with his signature "model-off-duty" style. With a growing cult embracing his street-smart approach to dressing—including catwalk queens (friend Erin Wasson is his in-house muse and runway stylist) and downtown dwellers alike—Wang may just be the coolest kid in Manhattan.
