Plastic Surgeons join Entertainment and Beauty Stars for Fashion Night Breast Cancer Fundraiser

Sept. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- On Saturday, September 25th, 2011, Billboard recording stars, reality TV personalities, and the Plastic Surgeons of Loma Linda University will hold the third annual Pink Runway breast cancer awareness fashion show in Riverside, California with fashions provided by Macy's.  The fashion show features breast cancer patients treated by the Plastic Surgeons of Loma Linda University as the models.  The event is in its third year and has gained tremendous momentum as a premiere breast cancer event in Southern California.  Planned on the last weekend before Breast Cancer Awareness Month begins as a “kick-off” event, last year's show was a huge success with thunderous applause for the brave models, some of whom were still undergoing breast reconstruction surgeries.

The planning committee has several surprises in store for attendees this year as they launch their new “Ambassadors Program” with recording, entertainment, and beauty stars present.  The celebrities present are uniform in their goals, stating that they "will do everything we can to support better detection, treatment, and reconstruction of the 1 in 8 women in America who will develop breast cancer.". All of the proceeds from the fashion show event will benefit research and education efforts in the Center for Breast Reconstruction of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Loma Linda University.

One of last year's models further noted, "The organizers of The Pink Runway 2010 are very passionate about breast cancer and are really involved in this important fight.  I couldn't be with a stronger team.".  Macy's is providing all of the fashions for the models and the team of 15 models will all have professional makeup from a volunteer team from ColoreScience.  Numerous Southern California businesses are also supporters of this event and will be represented in the exhibitors row at the venue showcasing breast health information kiosks, breast cancer reconstruction experts, and beauty products from the aestheticians and plastic surgeons of Loma Linda University.

This years event will be held at 4 PM on September 25th at the Riverside Convention Center at 3443 Orange Street in downtown Riverside, California.
