Boys and Girls Clubs' Million Dollar Raffle Drawing Nears

Sept. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- The Boys & Girls Clubs Million Dollar Raffle fundraiser is holding its first early bird drawing on Sept. 24. Eight prizes will be awarded. First prize is $10,000, second prize is $2,500 and third through seventh prizes are $1,000. Early bird winners are still eligible to win the grand prize of $1 million cash.

Tickets are $150. The first early bird drawing deadline for tickets is Sept. 22.

Additional early bird drawings will be Oct. 28, and Nov. 30. A multi-ticket drawing will be Dec. 30; it rewards people who purchase more than one ticket at the same time by giving them multiple opportunities to win. The 2011 Boys & Girls Club Million Dollar Raffle grand prize drawing is scheduled for Dec. 30.

Proceeds will help BGCOP deliver programs to more than 7,500 youth. BGCOP helps students make good choices. Recent studies found that 96% of BGCOP youth graduate high school (compared to 62% of Oxnard youth), and have lower teen pregnancy and crime rates than non-Club youth.

A maximum of 19,000 tickets only be available, and 205 prizes will be awarded. This means the odds are better than 1 in 85 that a ticket holder will be awarded a prize.
