Boy Who Assisted In The French Resistance Returns 70 Years Later To Dijon

Roger de Anfrasio will be receiving an award from the Mayor of Dijon, France for his assisting The French Resistance during WWII as a boy of 10 years old. His memoirs will be produced into a documentary and motion picture.
Sept. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- DIJON, FRANCE 11 September 2011 — Identity Features begins production on its world-class film project titled, “A GARDEN OF THORNS” in Dijon, France on September 11, 2011. The project inspired by the memoirs of Mr. Roger de Anfrasio, will be kicked off with a ceremony at which the living author will be honored by Dijon’s Mayor and Senator, Francois Rebsamen. A major documentary is in production and the feature film is in development. Identity Features Producer-Director, James Arcuri quotes, “This project has been a personal passion for me for many years, I want to bring the powerful, emotionally-charged story through my screenplay, to the screen for everyone to see!” Mr. de Anfrasio will receive honors for his assistance as a young boy, passing along information to the French Resistance in Dijon, during the WWII Nazi Occupation of France. “I am very excited and honored to receive an award; I will also share this recognition with my late older brother who was a fighter in The Resistance. I wanted to be like him, but I was just a boy. This story and film will remember the men and women of The Resistance, and their sacrifice for their country.”
