Hip Hop Seminar offers Q&A with Panelists‏

Hip-hop is continuously shaping the world we live in today. Industry Connects explores the role of hip-hop in today’s society & empowers attendees on ways in which they can successfully position themselves as true contenders in the music business.

Aug. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- DA Radio Show (DRS) presented Industry Connects; a quarterly workshop for indie artists at the Los Angeles Convention Center on August 20th.

Because a strong knowledge base is the foundation to success, The Industry Connects panels are dedicated to informing and enlightening attendees of the necessary tools needed to make their mark in this highly competitive field.

With in-depth, highly informative panels, The Industry Connects reveals the inner workings of major label marketing, promotions, pr, copyrighting, artist development and more while educating audiences on the application of the same formula for independent artists.

So for any aspiring artist, producer, entrepreneur, manager, upcoming indie label, song writer, model or DJ, the Industry Connects is the first step in moving careers swiftly in the right direction.

Panelists from various areas of the music business sit in a forum setting to share key aspects of the music business ending with a question and answer session with industry hopefuls.

The August 20th Industry Connects consisted of three panels, Artist Development, Music and Video Production and Radio & Media.

Panelists included panel moderator Co- Partner of U-MAC and CEO of DA Radio Show; Musical MD, sitting alongside Jazzy of Jazzy Management, Producer/Radio Host Lacy Darryl Phillips, CEO of Punch TV Networks Joseph Collins, Lamont Patterson of World Movement Records, Kevyn Nelson of Get Money Magazine, Big D of CF Music Group, Carla B of EOTM Media Group, Mr. Buck CEO of Everybody Radio, Reginald Mathis CEO of Raalow Street TV, James H. Rowe founder of Rowe Entertainment, Jacob Popperwell of Fault Line Productionz/Skanless City, Ritch Esra of Music Business Registry, Ben McLane of McLane and Wong Attorneys at Law, Donald Byrd from Warner Bros and Jahrae from Creative Gems.

Questions were fielded ranging from legal issues; pay to play showcases, and the extinction of artist development at major labels. A wealth of information was gleaned by eager artists during the informative session.

Some other highlights of the seminar were special guest performances by Young Maestro of Westcoast Knockin Records.

Other performances included Cardi Hard, Bars 911 and Krista Nicole.

The next Industry Connects is set for February 2012.
