A CME Satellite Symposium - Exploring the Management of Stable Ischemic Heart Disease

Aug. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- In this program, experts will discuss the management of stable ischemic heart disease, with a focus on optimizing outcomes. Similarities and differences between antianginal therapies that improve quality of life will be discussed, and insights into appropriate antianginal therapy selection, when considering patient comorbidities and drug profiles, will be elaborated. Lifestyle modification and pharmacologic optimal medical therapy (OMT) to improve prognosis will be identified and supporting data presented. Factors affecting the decision of whether or not to revascularize the stable ischemic heart disease patient will be explained, with evidence and perspectives from landmark outcome trials provided.
