Grammy Nominated Recording Artist B. SLADE WILL NOT Be Performing at 2011 HARLEM WEEK

Aug. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- We are officially announcing that B. SLADE will NOT be performing as part of Harlem Week's 35th Anniversary "Harlem Day,' taking place  this Sunday, August 21st, 2011.

"I am truly apologetic to my fans that were coming out to experience my performance during  Harlem Week.  While I was looking forward to headlining Sunday afternoon's show, due to matters that were out of my control, my band and I will not be there as originally planned," B. Slade explains.

On the heels of his critically-acclaimed turn as the lead in San Diego Repertory Theatre's revival of 'The Who's TOMMY,' the 'Harlem Day' performance was scheduled to promote the release of the Grammy Award-nominated artist's newest opus, 'DIESEL,' an eclectic melding of R&B, pop, soul, funk, hip hop, rock and electronica.

B. Slade says his latest work of musical art, which is available at select digital outlets, is dedicated to the forerunners and strong black men in the civil rights, entertainment and hip hop culture. "Diesel runs in our blood, it’s about the tenacity to continue and press through oppositions even when you want to give up and say you're going to give in, there's something in you that won't let you and that is your DIESEL," he said. "No matter what race or orientation you might be, don't ever lose your Diesel, this is what the album is all about."
