Lady Loretta mine decline project awarded to PYBAR Mining Services

PYBAR mining services have been awarded the preferred contractor status for Xstrata Zinc's new Lady Loretta decline project in North Queensland.
Aug. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- This new project is scheduled to commence in early September with mobilisation to site late August. This is a 2 year project involving nearly 7km of development over this period.

The Lady Loretta mine, which is located approximately 140 kilometres northwest of Xstrata’s Mount Isa operations, is planned to be operational by the end of 2013.

Resources currently stand at 13.7 million tonnes grading 17% zinc and 6% lead and the project will produce zinc-lead concentrate through the Mt Isa processing facilities over a 10 year mine life.

Pybar's initial scope for the project Involves:
•   Site establishment of offices, workshops, and stores areas
•   Portal establishment
•   Decline development
•   Lateral development
