Aug. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Internet Marketing Firm Local ReZults held a meeting regarding the organization of the Food Truck Owners that, by all accounts, was a huge success. More than 30 individuals attended the meeting, which was held at Veteran’s Park on Friday, August 12, 2011 to discuss the future of the food trucks that line up along Chatsworth St. on Wednesday and Friday evenings.

In attendance were local merchants, property owners, and many Food Truck Owners, including trucks like Slap Yo Mama, Bollywood, New York Galbi, VegItUp, Tainamite, Breezy Freeze, Tornado Potato, Philly Please Cheesesteak, The Shawerma House, Street Kitchen, Papa Juan’s Fish Tacos, Streets of Thailand, Let’s Roll It, Mossie Lees, Germany’s Famous Brats, Crepen Around, Sloppy Gourmet and Bajamar Seafood.

Despite urging the Food Truck Owners to not attend the meeting, members of the Granada Hills Chamber of Commerce, Granada Hills South Neighborhood Council and its Ad-Hoc Committee on Food Trucks were also in attendance.

Invited speaker Matt Geller, head of the Southern California Mobile Food Vendors Association (SCMFVA) spoke to those in attendance about various issues facing the Granada Hills food truck event. Topics like bathroom letters, health department inspections, trash storage and removal, and parking limitations were all addressed during the meeting.

After failing in previous attempts to gain the attention of the Food Truck Owners, the Granada Hills Board Members used the meeting organized by Local ReZults (http://www.localrezults.com) as an opportunity to speak to the various food truck stakeholders in attendance.

Local ReZults CEO Bruce Safran, architect of the meeting, discussed the various options that the Food Truck Owners had in organizing themselves and imposing regulations on the event in an effort to police themselves and increase their ability to partner with the local Granada Hills merchants.

A member of the Granada Hills Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors crystallized the view of the Granada Hills Organizations who tried to prevent the meeting from occurring when she explained that the power, control, and fate of the event would not be affected by Food Truck Owners or their ability to organize.

Despite the attitude of the Organizations, Bruce Safran pledges that Local ReZults will continue to work as an advocate for the Granada Hills Food Trucks (http://www.granadahillsfoodtrucks.com), the local merchants and the community at large.

He hopes that this successful meeting will help spur the Chamber and Neighborhood Council to action, and perhaps more importantly, begin a conversation that will result in a partnership where all parties come out ahead.
