Terri Hunsinger of WebUndies.com to Appear on WDVR FM’s Technology Today Radio Broadcast

Aug. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Cranford, New Jersey –Terri Hunsinger, Partner at WebUndies.com LLC, will appear on the Technology Today program on WDVR FM 89.7 with host Rich Kazimir on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at 6:30pm EST. Hunsinger will discuss the technology upgrades that WebUndies, an Internet-only retailer of licensed novelty underwear and sleepwear, completed in Q4 2010. “WebUndies is a $1.5 million retailer – and growing,” says Hunsinger. “This presents challenges from a technology standpoint. We wanted to invest in an integrated system that was robust enough to handle our growth, yet would enable us to provide the excellent service levels our customers have come to expect.”

Hunsinger spearheaded the infrastructure and website upgrade for U.S.-based WebUndies.com while living in Singapore, where her husband was on an international assignment for three years. While the time difference posted some challenges, she had a strong team in place in the U.S which was critical to the success of the multi-faceted project.

The company overhauled its website, moved to a different shopping cart and rebuilt the back-end databases from the ground up. The original site had been created in 1998 and needed a fresh look, as well as a more customer-friendly interface. Additionally, the back-end systems had been built over the course of 7 years, as the company grew and adapted.  While functional, it was inefficient and fragmented. The new site and systems make it easier for customers to shop and for staff to process orders effectively.

Hunsinger came to WebUndies.com in 2004 after a successful career in field sales for W. L. Gore & Associates. She is a graduate of Lehigh University with an undergraduate degree in Chemistry with an Engineering focus.
