July 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Christian author Carol Cline announced today the release of Amazing Grace as Christ Walks By, My Journey from Brokenness to Wholeness, published by Outskirts Press.  Cline uses her own journey out of a violent and dysfunctional family life as a blueprint for others to recognize that evil does exist in the world, but that love, knowledge and service for Christ provides an abundant life free of guilt, shame and fear.

Cline’s recovery from depression, an eating disorder and other life threatening events came about after she recognized -- through circumstances sent her by God -- that her life had actually been saved several times already by God.  Within a year after being saved from each horrible situation, a miraculous and life changing event would occur which brought her into God’s will.  Eventually she returned to wholeness when she understood that His love is unconditional and unwavering.

“…the devil meant to bring me to destruction,” Cline writes, but “God refined me like gold.  When we come through the fire, we are refined like gold: strong and firm.”

Cline has studied the Bible for more than two decades and notes the scriptural difference, based on Matthew 15: 1-20, between religion and spirituality, and she offers readers the daily spiritual practices she uses as a practical way for them to move confidently toward Christ.  “Daily spiritual practice is like exercise,” she writes, and she advises her readers to start with a coach or guide or even a partner and then, with continued practice, to deepen their relationship with Christ each day by themselves.

Amazing Grace as Christ Walks By provides the inspirational message that guilt and condemnation come only from the devil, never from Christ.  Through Christ, God is involved in the minutiae of one’s life.  He knows even the number of hairs on each person’s head (Matthew 10:29), and His grace is sufficient in all things.
