Google Panda Update 2011

So, many of us are still reeling in the aftermath of Panda, mainly because the update wasn’t consistent and seemed to target sites at random.

July 27, 2011 - PRLog -- So, many of us are still reeling in the aftermath of Panda, mainly because the update wasn’t consistent and seemed to target sites at random. There is a lot of chatter about Panda, and a lot of the chatter is all speculation. I hate speculation. It is often someone’s drunken opinion based on nothing. For example:

“Boom! All of a sudden I figure out that is what Google want all webmaster do and be serious about your site and make it as perfect as possible so that the internet will have more and more great content.”

Excuse me?

Seriously, that is one of the lead stories on Webmaster World this morning and nothing could be further from the truth. I will say it until it ceases to be one of the most sought after terms on the internet, if you want to really know what Google wants, do a search for “buy viagra” and look at all the sites in the Top Ten.

Does Google want good, original, quality content?

Ask yourself why some sites got nailed and these remained is what frustrates me the most. At least Update Florida seven years ago was at least consistent. This update wasn’t.

So, be careful with what you read and what you follow out there. It is best to go with what has worked getting a few of our sites out.
