Dr. Brownell is the Director of Experimental PET in the Department of Radiology, at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is also an Associate Professor in Radiology, at Harvard Medical School. Her focus and expertise is in the development of positron emission tomography imaging, which includes instrumentation, radiopharmaceutical development and data analysis, to enhance functional imaging techniques from mouse to man. Her techniques are very helpful in making an early diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease and other neurological diseases. Ms. Brownell is affiliated with the Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM) and the Society of Neurological Surgeons (SNS).
