DAS Launches New Risk Management System
DAS|INC has launched DAS|RMA, an effective and efficient Risk Management system in compliance with SEC Rule 15c3-5. DAS|RMA has been designed according to the specifications of the new rule to perform smoothly at high speeds and low latency.
Risk Management Admin (RMA) is a full risk management interface that coordinates information on permissions, access rights, trading rights and more for clients, brokers and multi-firm offices. In compliance with the new SEC rule 15c3-5, DAS|RMA successfully completes all required pre-trade risk checks on order acknowledgements at 8 microseconds. After a grueling certification process, DAS|RMA was certified by Penson Financial Services (PNSN) as a third party Risk Management System, ensuring top notch quality and support. DAS|RMA was built using Risk Control Terminal (RCT), a unique communication protocol, connecting any algorithmic box to DAS|RMA by simply writing to RCT. RCT delivers ultra-low latency solutions for Linux environments at an incredible validation rate of 0.23 micro-second.
The DAS|RMA suite comprehensively performs pre-trade risk checks including Buying Power exposure, Reg SHO on easy to borrow and hard to borrow securities, and proper locate for short sales. DAS|RMA prevents wash sales, displays real-time order execution, and provides visual alert of violation of threshold checks all within one suite.
With DAS|RMA, brokers have excellent risk management tools at their disposal. There is a Kill Switch for halting all trading in MPID or per symbol blocks. Capital controls are configurable by percent of fill ratio. Single Order Quantity is configurable based on maximum size limit on order. Single Order Value is also configurable based on values of securities trading. Also, there are Odd-lot Order restraints, configurable recent orders based on time restraints and configurable repetitive orders restraints.
“Meeting the requirements of the SEC’s new rule and fulfilling the low latency needs of High Frequency Traders, this product will make DAS|INC a power player in the High Frequency Trading game,” said Karen Gentile, President of DAS|INC.
Within our adaptive infrastructure, DAS has also constructed a new fiber powered FIX engine, DMAr, which sends orders at less than 1 millisecond to NASDAQ and under 2 milliseconds to ARCA. DMAr aims to not only lead the industry, but set the industry standard. DMAr’s smart routing capabilities automatically seeks other routes to fill partially completed orders and also interacts with other smart routers and strategies, enabling traders to fill their orders via multiple routes while just entering one order.
DAS|INC has also launched DAS|TRT, Trade Reporting Tools, consisting of several reporting tools for a post trade reporting and account management tools to compliment the RMA and Pro products. DAS|TRT includes web-based, light weight but powerful utilities for generating reports on orders, trades, tickets, commission pay outs and account aggregations. The streamlined approach is for adept users who need information quickly, and displayed in an intuitive format. In addition to viewing reports online, reports are exportable to .csv format to be used in various spreadsheet applications or to PDF format for easy printing and sharing.
