Silver and Gold: Treasures of Fatherhood Launches a Non-Profit To Strengthen Family Leadership

July 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Jerrick Perkins, along with co-founder, Keisha Moore-Randolph, Pastor of Faith Movement Healing Center, is launching Silver and Gold: Treasures of Fatherhood non-profit foundation. Named for their current organization, the non-profit has as its mission “Reconnecting Fathers with the Real Treasure.”

Perkins is currently the founder of Silver and Gold: Treasures of Fatherhood, an organization that assists fathers by providing resources to strengthen them as parental structures and help them to become more active in the lives of their children. The focus of Silver and Gold is F.A.T.H.E.R.S: Fitness, Affection, Time Management, Healing, Education, Rebirth and Support

Knowledgeable in the leadership and determination it takes to overcome the injustices of successful parenthood, Silver and Gold presents the possibilities of being a father without having one, raising a child in spite of difficulties, and overcoming domestic issues for the benefit of the children.

Perkins’ and Randolphs’ recent and career-long efforts have included numerous radio interviews, public missions to motivate other males in an effort to combat the numbers of absentee fathers, and more recently, a Father’s Day event, titled Fatherhood: The Importance of Male Parenting and Mentorship.

The event, celebrating fathers and their commitment to their families, included a father-daughter dance, a motivational segment led by Perkins, national Christian comedian, Stephon Raickett, and video showcasing select fathers in the surrounding communities.
