X-cite by Alghanim Electronics creates soccer euphoria at Avenues

July 25, 2011 - PRLog -- X-cite by Alghanim Electronics in association with Goalna.com and Al-Watan held an exclusive PS3 Pro Evolution Soccer challenge at Avenues on the 15th and 16th of July 2011.

PS3 soccer enthusiasts from all over Kuwait flocked at the X-cite showroom at the Avenues on these two days to showcase their gaming skills. There was an online registration done prior to the gaming event. Due to the massive response received, the registrations had to be stopped on the day of the event. All of the registered participants were scheduled to 2 days in 4 sessions.

The participants at the gaming challenge aged 12 yrs to 35yrs were high level players who professionalized in the game. The first prize winner of the challenge was Hussein Shaker Rajab Al Abdeen who won a trip to Munich, Germany to watch the semi finals and finals of the Football Audi Cup at the Allianz Stadium. “I love playing Pro Evolution Soccer on the PS3, but never imagined to actually be rewarded for my skills in the game. I am so happy to have been part of this exciting gaming competition hosted by X-cite,” said the surprised winner. The second place was won by Abdulwahab Hilal Al Shammari who received an iPad with a 50KD gift voucher from X-cite. The other quarter finalists of the competition each received an EQ mobile.

The competitive spirit amongst everyone present at X-cite was prevalent throughout the event. Participants had a huge crowd of supporters clapping and cheering for them as they depicted true sportsmen spirit during the games. The grand finale was hosted on a huge screen with special speaker arrangements to give a feel of a real live match. X-cite was successful in hosting yet another community event bringing all gaming lovers together and creating a happy experience. In the past X-cite has held many such similar gaming challenges which has in turn lead to increased footfall in the stores especially in the gaming section.
