Meet Jo Ben- The Star from "Tango With Me"

July 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Wonder  how he got such magnificent role? Joseph Benjamin was recommended  by Kingsley Omoefe to the production team, but the professional  arrangement was handled by his hard working management after.

The biggest challenge in the entertainment industry for me, was the  difficulty I faced in breaking through, Jo said. His young looks  became a barrier at a point, in an audition, he would be told, "you  look too young for this role and you are not popular enough for the  role". At that point, his profound acting skills could not make way  for him but Joseph Benjamin was consistent.

The young, handsome and brilliant actor, Joseph Benjamin; keeps his  private life personal, but, in his words, "I do not discriminate,  my respect for my female fans is equal to my respect for my male  fans, technically, I am very careful with the female folks because  they are special". I also have a huge respect for my colleagues in  the industry, he further expressed. His relationship with Genevieve  in the movie "Tangle with me" was strictly professional and that  was the first time they would act together.

Joseph Benjamin popularly called Jo Ben, hails from Kogi State, Nigeria, he  has three siblings and second child of four children. Joseph grew up with his late Dutch step father. He is driven  by his own motivation to become a huge entertainment icon but  remains God fearing. Jo Ben is a student of communication and  language art, he has a diploma in Computer science. He started his  modeling business back in 1995, he worked with brands like Coca  Cola, Maltina, Indomie, National Electric Commission (NEC), Peak,  Stanbic IBTC and  Crusader Insurance.

Joseph Benjamin has proven that a professional human brand can  fellowship with multiple brands without the conflict of interest  and still gain a neutral stance ready for any brand endorsement. We  can call this a share show of intelligence and style. Jo extends his vast knowledge and creativity into the presenting world, he converts his  smooth talking ability into presenting. He has proven his worth as a  presenter, he presented the "Yellow" Carpet live at the Hip Hop  Awards 2007, hosted the "MTN Project Fame West Africa". How  prolific can one be, unless his endearing work is crowned with  awards or recognition. Jo Ben has been nominated for the "Best  Actor" Category (English) and the movie "Jungle Ride" (BON Awards  2010), for the same movie, same year, he was nominated best actor  again (Wazobia Awards). He was the recipient of the "Golden City  2010 Awards" for excellence. At the moment he has been nominated  for "best new actor of the year" for the "City people entertainment  award 2011.
Amidst his copious abilities, he is known majorly for acting.  Benjamin has featured in movies like "Cross Road" in 1991, "Deadly  Mission" 2003, produced by Zeb Ejiro and directed by Andy Amenechi,  starred in "Just Me" produced by Jumai Joseph, that was 2005, same  year he starred in "Travails of Faith" produced by Chan George; he  further starred in a couple of television dramas for terrestrial  and local tv: "Bachelor", "Young Single and Free", "Super Story",  "168", "Edge of Paradise (Tinsel)". He came into acting through  "Tales by Moon Light" in 1991.

In recent time, you would have noticed that his career has gained a  thriving face in this business. We have spotted him playing lead  roles in "Tangle with Me", "Kiss and Tell", "Spellbound", "Kidnap",  "Richie Rich". Joseph Benjamin has finally gained international  recognition from the brilliant movies he acted in lately. He has  finally proven his worth and garnered huge respect amongst industry  managers and his colleagues. The tall dark and handsome man has a  "rocket shooting" profile at the moment no doubt while his head is  down he remains focused. He is humble and very easy to communicate  with, he also takes his business seriously.

There are many virtues  that held this young man up in his game but the most valuable would  be his "fear of God" and patience.

His role models are in categories. Acting: Denzel Washington, Al  Pacino and Brad Pitt. Voice overs: James Earl Jones and Femi  Showolu. Presenting: Ryan Seacrest, Frank Edoho, and IK.

tv, radio and more. He is practically working on several  hit movies and of course the Project fame is by the corner.
