Another New Phase Announced as Rockrose Continues as Best-Selling in Carlsbad

July 22, 2011 - PRLog -- With two homes sold last week and 25 homes sold so far this year, Rockrose at The Foothills by Brookfield Homes is the best-selling detached community in Carlsbad year-to-date, according to industry reports.

The New Housing Monitor of San Diego County’s July 10 report shows Rockrose – averaging nearly one sale per week since the year began – is outselling its competition. As a result, builder Brookfield Homes has just announced another new phase release.

“Eco-savvy qualities, a coastal location and community amenities all add up to new homes at Rockrose that continue to be in demand,” said Lora Heramb, vice president of sales and marketing at Brookfield Homes.

The new phase of six homes includes two of the popular Plan 1X floor plans, according to sales representatives.

“The Plan 1X has all the benefits of a single-story home, with the master bedroom suite on the first floor,” explained Julie Harwood. “But then so much more value is added with a second story that includes a bedroom, bonus room and bathroom.”

Located in The Foothills master-planned community near Cannon Road and College Boulevard, just minutes from the beach in Carlsbad, Rockrose new homes range from 2,116 to 3,875 square feet and have three to four bedrooms in single- and two-story floor plans. The eco-savvy new homes are now priced from $589,900 with up to $10,000 in incentives. In addition, Rockrose homeowners receive a very low tax rate of 1.2 percent. (1.2 percent tax rate example based on a sales price of $645,000. Tax rate will increase or decrease based upon actual sales price of new home.)

Rockrose is widely known as one of San Diego’s most energy and water efficient communities. Every home at Rockrose exceeds California’s energy standards by at least 35 percent and is pre-plumbed for solar hot water. Other standard features include tankless water heaters, high-efficiency furnaces with Merv 8 filters, WaterSense faucets, low VOC carpets and paints, water sensitive landscaping, and hot water re-circulating lines.

Nominated as Best New Community in the annual poll “San Diego’s Best” conducted by the San Diego Union Tribune, Rockrose is steps away from a new state-of-the-art high school now under construction and just four miles from the beach.
