igus to exhibit at Pack Expo 2011

igus® will be exhibiting at booth number 4946 in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center during Pack Expo 2011.  Some of the products on show will include an all-new quick-release leadscrew table for fast and easy format adjustments and a plastic plain bearing designed specifically for packaging and food equipment.

igus’ entire line of DryLin® leadscrew tables are maintenance-free, chemical- and corrosion-resistant, and require no lubrication, which makes them ideal for the food-processing, bottling, and packaging industries.  The new fast forward system features a quick-release nut to make quicker and easier format adjustments.  It does this by reducing the number of revolutions required to position the carriage on a lead screw assembly with a small pitch.  When equipped with the quick-release nut, a DryLin lead screw table can be adjusted by simply pushing a button.

Also on display will be igus’ iglide® A350 plastic plain bearings made from an FDA-compliant plastic material that is blue in color for easier detection.  It is highly wear-resistant and can handle long-term temperatures up to 356 degrees Fahrenheit.  iglide A350 also delivers low coefficients of friction and is resistant to a variety of chemicals and other liquid media.

Another product launching at the show is igus iglide® piston rings: drop-in, easy-to-assemble replacements for traditional PTFE bearing solutions.  igus offers its piston rings in various plastic materials able to withstand a range of environmental factors, from extremely high temperatures and washdowns, to chemicals, food, dust, and dirt.

Other products at the show will include examples from the company’s line of xiros® plastic ball bearings, a DryLin leadscrew table featuring ball bearing leadscrew supports, and last but not least, stainless steel linear bearing adapters.  Products from igus’ lines of Energy Chain® cable carriers and Chainflex® continuous-flex cables will also be on display.

Pack Expo runs from September 26th through the 28th.
