Singer/songwriter/musician Dan Reed guest on “Live From Music City.”

Dan Reed’s life story plays out like an epic, larger-than-life movie, and it has brought him full circle back to his first love, music.  Growing up on a 2,000-acre cattle ranch in South Dakota, Reed had plenty of time to daydream and fantasize about becoming a musician. His influences at that time included the Doobie Brothers, Kiss, Cheap Trick and Van Halen. After a Japanese exchange student taught him to play the guitar, he realized this was what he’d been searching for – the world of writing songs.

His career spans more than 25years and has carried him across the globe. Dan now lives in Paris, where he has created the new label “Zero One” where his debut solo album is being released. “Coming Up For Air” presents a collection of songs that mirror his life journey and the search for that elusive, deeper resonance we all hunger for at some point in our lives.
