Natures Gentle Touch Kicks Off The OneMillionOne Project

July 11, 2011 - PRLog -- Natural hair care brand Natures Gentle Touch has commenced an initiative aimed at providing hair and scalp solutions to millions of people across the country. Known as the OneMillionOne project, the initiative will provide free hair and scalp care services to one million and one Nigerians from diverse backgrounds over a period a 24-months.

Speaking on the project, the Managing Director of Recare Limited, owners of the Natures Gentle Touch brand, Mr. Chika Ikenga informed that the initiative is been embarked upon to educate and provide solutions to the myriad of hair and scalp problems prevalent in our society. “At the moment, 9 out of every 10 women suffer from hair breakage. Same with dandruff and other problems like slow hair growth and traction alopecia, but the main challenge is that most people who have these problems are less informed about it, and therefore they do not know how to go about the solutions; and this cuts across every social class, because on a daily basis, our hair institute receive hundreds of inquiries from people who have these problems, and all of them are from diverse backgrounds”, he said.

Disclosing more about the initiative, Mr. Ikenga said that the OneMillionOne project will be driven by the Natures Gentle Touch Hair Institute and the Natures Gentle Touch ProTEAM. “Over the next 2 years, the ProTEAM and the Institute will provide knowledge-based solution to one million and one Nigerians. “We will offer free hair breakage treatment, free dandruff treatment, free hair and scalp diagnosis and clean hair solutions which will be supported with information on how to live and maintain a healthy hair and scalp”, he said.

Customers of Shoprite were the first to benefit from the project during the test run as 700 shoppers received invitation cards to a free hair therapy at the Natures Gentle Touch Hair Institute.  “This is a very big project and we don’t have any intention whatsoever of reneging on our promise to provide solutions to one million and one hair and scalp problems across the country, so the test run was to determine our capability to accommodate the anticipated influx of people within this period, and so far our team is ready”, said Mr. Ikenga.

The brand has promised that the project will be taken to neighborhoods, schools, churches and community centers across Nigeria.
