The New England Direct Marketing Association announces Winners at the 30th Annual Award Show

The Museum of Science in Boston was pulsing with excitement as the region’s winning companies and agencies were called to the stage to accept their 2011 New England Direct Marketing Association (NEDMA) awards.
 
June 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Boston, MA, June 30, 2011 – The Museum of Science in Boston was pulsing with excitement as the region’s winning companies and agencies were called to the stage to accept their 2011 New England Direct Marketing Association (NEDMA) awards. The NEDMA Annual Awards event honors creative excellence and innovation in traditional, interactive and social media direct marketing programs. Categories included print ads, direct mail, catalogs and broadcast along with Twitter campaigns, online copywriting, blog copywriting, shopping/ecommerce websites, Facebook, LinkedIn, and innovative online formats. This is the second year that agencies had the opportunity to submit social media campaigns.
“We were thrilled with the caliber of submissions this year,” says Erin Daly, NEDMA Vice President/Awards Committee Chair. “It was obvious from the campaigns we judged just how hard each team worked to achieve their goals. Standing out from the crowd in very competitive environments brought out the most creative campaigns we have ever judged to date.”

Winners were selected from a pool of over 300 submissions from 32 agencies.  Overdrive Interactive received 14 awards, including the Best of Show for its CCA Global Partners “Tigressa Sweepstakes” interactive website campaign.  Other top winners included Wilde Agency with 20 awards, LW Robbins Associates with 18 awards, Amergent with 14 awards, DaVinci Direct with 10 awards and Winsper with 8 awards.

More than 250 of New England’s direct marketing professionals participated in the awards ceremony. Check out #NEDMA11 to see the Twitter stream generated from this event. Holding the ceremony for the first time at the Museum of Science proved to be a perfect venue, as many attendees tweeted along with congrats to the winners.

Each year, the NEDMA awards honor innovative direct marketing campaigns and individual submissions that produce dramatic results.
