D. Harliquinn releases new single

Christopher Gathers has been writing songs and lyrics for about 12 years.  He began as other artist do, by writing poetry.  In middle school he began a self examining portrait through poetic complex writings.  To some it was a strange and peculiar practice, but ironically he was praised for his talent with the mighty pen and how his out-of-the-box thinking process put him on a different level as his peers.  As Christopher matured, so did his poetry.  After he enlisted in the military, Christopher began to write music and began battling individuals from all over the United States of America which allowed him to expand his range, strengthen his delivery and develop a strong identity.  There were two parts to his personality; one being a structured military man that he was everyday and then there was this vicious, outspoken lyricist.  It was a tough road getting your music known in Virginia.  One could have easily given up the dream due to experiences in his life.  But out of frustration a new entity was born.  This entity which has a strong hold on the determination to succeed and developed a focus and a drive to get his music heard.  He took the name D. Harliquinn calling himself ‘a multi talented personification of insanity’.  His mission moving forward was simple yet powerful;  “I am here to take music, not just rap, to another level; and unlike many I have encountered I am willing to help all who have the same aspirations as I do”, states D. Harliquinn.

D. Harliquinn is proud to announce the release of his new single “Let It Go”, which is off of his yet to be released CD  “Depraved Stream of Consciousness ”.  This song is letting women know that it’s ok being sexual and to enjoy sex and there’s nothing to be ashamed of.  It is also about embracing one’s sexuality.   This song is a smooth hip hop ballad with great vocals and harmonies.  It has a bit of an edge to it with hard rap verses and a great melody as its core rhythm.   It is a very catchy song.  The song’s lyrics are graphic which just add to the songs dramatic story.  

D. Harliquinn is a versatile artist.  His subject matters are diverse and perhaps a bit complex.  This is what you get when you have a lyrical, passionate, emotion packed genius writing songs.  

“Depraved Stream of Consciousness” is set for a digital release and possible physical release.  No dates have been given at this time.  D.
