June 15, 2011 - PRLog -- New York, NY (June 15, 2011) – New York-based technology company SnapTag announced today the launch of SnapTag (http://snaptag.me), a free mobile app for the iPhone that lets shoppers ask social networks and the crowd to rate deals before making a purchase.

“SnapTag is about having fun while you shop, and letting your friends and the crowd weigh in on buying decisions before you open your wallet,” said SnapTag co-founder Ayal Ebert. “SnapTag is the social way to shop smart.”

With the SnapTag app, iPhone users snap a product photo, then upload the image, description and price. SnapTag asks connections on Facebook, Twitter and the SnapTag network to vote and comment on the deal. Products are divided into categories such as food, real estate, clothing & accessories, cars, arts & crafts, electronics, jewelry, collectibles and more. It’s fun and easy to use, Ebert said.

SnapTag is free and available for download at the App Store. Follow @SnapTagApp on Twitter.
