ORION Microsystems Releases iQuakeMini For iPad & iPhone With Alert Notifications.

May 24, 2011 - PRLog -- iQuakeMini displays graphic heatmaps of earthquakes as they happen around the globe. Quakes are represented by multicolored spots and areas on different types of Maps. Basic information is provided directly on the maps but more details are available on a List of recent earthquakes, with links to Internet sources like USGS.

The unique feature in iQuakeMini is the option to select up to three areas on the globe, and to receive alarm notifications on the iPhone, iPad or wifi iPod, when an earthquake occurs in these areas. Day and Night settings allow filtering of information during night hours if needed.

Maps and snapshots of the screen can be posted to Twitter, Facebook, Emailed or saved in the Photo Album. The Info is linked to an internet based “Breaking News” page updated in real time when major events occur.

A free version, but with less features and no notifications, called iQuakeLite is avalaible for iPad on the iTunes App Store since iPad Store grand opening and has been downloaded by thousands of users. This is what they say:
