Boston Moving Company Raises Thousands for March of Dimes

May 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Humboldt Storage and Moving, greater Boston’s oldest moving company, agent of United Van Lines and experts in stress-free moving has once again raised thousands of dollars for the March of Dimes and the annual March for Babies event in Massachusetts. The company has raised and donated over $35,000 for the organization in the past four years.

The Humboldt team in Boston consisted of 18 walkers and raised $11,563 for the event. The management of Humboldt also donated an additional $5,000 raising the total to $16,563. This marks the fourth year the Boston-area moving company has participated in the walk as well as serving as an event sponsor. James Sullivan, president of Humboldt has also served as a volunteer revenue chair for the organization, helping to raise additional funds through networking and other cultivation activities.

Humboldt has also donated in-kind services over the years to assist the organization in running the event. From storage of items such as water bottles and the transportation of other event items to other walks in the state, Humboldt http://www.humboldt.com/
has made a solid commitment to the March of Dimes.

“This is our fourth year partnering with this amazing organization and we could not be more proud of the efforts our team put into raising these funds,” stated Sullivan. “Humboldt has made a commitment to reducing the stress of event management by helping with storage and transportation and our team has met this challenge of raising money head on.”

In 2009 the team at Humboldt raised and donated $9,255 and in 2010, the company raised and donated over $11,000. This brings their total to over $35,000 not including the in-kind services provided.
