May 20, 2011 - PRLog -- For most Competitive Intelligence (CI) practitioners, setting up a CI program will be one of the most challenging steps in their career. Knowing where to start, how to network in the organization to locate your senior champions, and how to build the company’s reliance on your program’s value are among the many elements of establishing a World-Class program. Your goal is clearly not to build it just to say you reached the mountaintop – it is to build a lasting legacy for competitive intelligence inside your company, much like Vince Lombardi instilled for winning in the Green Bay community.

In this interactive panelist-driven workshop on June 23 we will help you build your playbook for creating a more streamlined and effective competitive intelligence program by leveraging the on- and off-field trials and tribulations of three industry leaders: Phil Britton at Best Buy, Michel Bernaiche at Dunkin’ Brands, and John Hink at Fiserv. Inside the friendly confines of Green Bay’s Lambeau Field, you will walk away from this workshop with at least three things you can do differently or more effectively to enhance the relevancy of your intelligence program and continue moving it toward World-Class status.

Participants in the workshop will learn:

•   How to create, from a blank sheet of paper, a competitive intelligence program that will work for your organization, factoring in cultural, organizational, and political influences.
•   The pitfalls to avoid that can prevent top management utilization of competitive intelligence and ultimately keep you from reaching a World-Class level.
•   Intelligence analysis and delivery techniques that resonate with senior executives.

Held at the MVP box at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on June 23, 2011 the workshop will start at 10 am and conclude at 3 pm, and will include lunch. Afterwards there is an optional Atrium tour and historical perspective of Lambeau Field at an additional cost.  Registration fees include program, lunch and beverages and are $85 for a SCIP member, $95 for others.

NOTE: We have limited capacity to the first 50 registered attendees so be sure to register early at http://www.scip.org/Training/EventsDetail.cfm?itemnumber=... For additional information, please contact Robyn Reals, SCIP Staff, rreals@scip.org, 703.739.0696 ext.107
