West Volusia Toastmasters Elect New Officers!

Elections were held on May 17 for new officers of the West Volusia Toastmasters who will take over as of July 1, 2011.

May 18, 2011 - PRLog -- Unanimously elected as President was Christina Mancil.  She brings great enthusiasm to her new position and is already busy planning the coming year.  She served as VP of Membership for most of the past year but recently took over the vacated office of VP of Education.  She joined Toastmasters in 2009 and has completed both the Competent Communicator (CC) and Competent Leadership manuals.

Kasey Jones was elected to be our new VP of Education.  A member since September 2010, Kasey has jumped in with both feet.  She will be busy completing her CC and CL awards while she takes over her challenging new job in July.

Rodney Gray joined our group in January 2010.   While completing his CC, he has also served as Treasurer.  In July he will take over the important job of VP of Membership.  With his experience, commitment and enthusiasm, we're sure he will do a great job in the year ahead.

Jackie Perry has been with us since September 2010 when a job change forced her to leave her previous club.  She is a valued member and will apply her broad background to her new job of VP of Public Relations.

Our secretary for the next year will be Scott Mays.  A member since August 2010, he has proven himself to be a great speaker and will continue to pursue his CC and CL awards.

Treasurer for the upcoming year will be a fairly new member - Vinny Orlando.  Vinny joined our group to help him in becoming a professional speaker.  We all look forward to watching him grow as a speaker in the years ahead.

Last but not least, our new Sergeant-at-Arms is Ralph Locke.  Ralph is another new member.  He joined to help him is his role as a Chaplain and representative of the Florida Green Building Coalition.

We are all looking forward to the year ahead with great leaders like these!  Feel free to join us any Tuesday from 6 - 7 p.m. at the Gateway Center for the Arts in Debary.
